This post is on the definition series.
In today’s entry we will aim to define what organic SEO means.
Again as usual like with all of our definitions we aim for simplicity so non-techy guys can understand.
Definition Organic SEO: Organic SEO means search engine optimisation for natural results from search engine searches. For example in paid search campaigns the search optimisation is done through paid campaigns such as PPC, and in organic SEO the search is done through marketing techniques on websites. Thus making the results when they appear, natural.
To know whether if the results are were developed through organic SEO or paid SEO, lets look at an example in the Google search engine. Paid search results are in the coloured (usually in yellow, orange or red) area on the top of all the results and on the right side of the results. These are known as paid advertising and bought from Google Adwords.
Organic results are not highlighted and are in the normal results section such as shown below in the image:
Organic SEO is also a major part of internet marketing and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
Hopefully we have defined organic SEO in an easy way.
If there is something you did not get, please let us know.
